Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors

The Claremont Neighborhood Centers, Inc. (CNC), along with its two subsidiary daycare centers, Louis A. Fickling Child Development Center and Aleene Logan Pre-School Center, is dedicated to providing leadership, guidance, and support to strengthen its role as a premier provider of quality programs and services in the Bronx. Its mission is to offer innovative educational and recreational programs for youth and adults, fostering collaboration, skill development, and personal growth. With a strong history of service, CNC continues to support multiple generations of residents from the Claremont Village complex and surrounding NYCHA developments.

Since its founding in 1956, CNC has positively impacted thousands of individuals, many of whom have gone on to hold leadership positions or continue residing in the Bronx. The organization is recognized as a place of refuge and development, equipping participants with essential life skills to transition successfully into adulthood. Since 2011, CNC has focused on delivering evidence-based programs with trained staff, clear guidelines, and measurable outcomes to ensure continued success.

Under the leadership of Abraham Jones and with the full support of the Board of Directors, CNC has embraced the 21st century by integrating new technology, hiring experienced and well-educated staff, and securing funding to expand services for Bronx residents. The organization remains committed to offering valuable programs and invites community members to explore its services, with the hope of making a meaningful impact on individuals, families, and future generations.
